Winter Sports 2011-2012 Schedule/Press Release

11/17/11 QCTV Winter Sports 2011-2012 Press Release:

QCTV has had successful and exciting fall, broadcasting and webcasting several sporting events in the quad cities area. All sports games that QCTV records are available as a LIVE WEBCAST. Many games will also be available to watch live on channel 15. The addition of live webcasts allows anyone in the world a chance to view local sports that happen in Andover, Anoka, Champlin, and Ramsey. QCTV is excited to offer this service and to bring a new spin on what "local" really means. Plan to watch your favorite team this winter. To watch a webcast, just head to http://www.qctv.org/sports about 10 minutes before game time. Webcasts begin 10 minutes prior to start time of each game. Below is an updated list of our planned broadcasts and live webcasts for the winter season. Stay tuned, QCTV may change, add, or remove scheduled broadcasts/webcasts at our discretion.

QCTV will be at two of Anoka's staple Halloween events, the Grand Day Parade & Ambassador Coronation, recording video for playback on QCTV channel 15 and qctv.org. QCTV will also stream webcasts of BOTH of these events LIVE on our website, making them visible to the world as they happen. Chamber Breakfast LIVE WEBCAST

Rebel Classic- Live Webcast October 1, 2011

Saturday, October 1, QCTV will bring a live webcast of the Rebel Classic marching band competition to the qctv.org website. Coverage begins at 5pm and will last until the end of the event. Playback of this event will begin the following week on channel 15. This webcast is a terrific option for marching band fans who are unable to attend in person.

Anoka High School Hall of Fame Live Webcast, Sep. 8, 2011

On Thursday, September 8, QCTV will be recording the Anoka High School hall of Fame Ceremony for playback on channel 15. QCTV will also stream a LIVE WEBCAST of the event as it happens that evening. This is a live webcast only, not live on channel. The event will playback later in the week on channel 15.

QCTV's NEW Web Based Community Bulletin Board

For many years QCTV has hosted a comprehensive list of community submitted events and information on channel 19. Now, in an effort to reach even more of our community and increase convenience, QCTV will be posting the same information on the web. The web page is located at http://www.qctv.org/qctvbb . On this page, community organizations are invited to submit new events and information via an easy to use web-form. This new initiative is powered partly by Twitter, so you may also decide to follow the QCTVBB on Twitter and keep up to date that way. Enjoy our new bulletin board upgrade, and thanks for tuning in!

Andover Family Fun Fest Parade Live Webcast on QCTV.org

At 11am on Saturday, July 9, 2011, QCTV will be at the Andover Family Fun Fest covering the parade live. QCTV will have multiple camera-angles of all of the exciting action. This event will be available to watch LIVE via a webcast on http://www.qctv.org . We will also re-broadcast on channel 15 in the days following the parade. Anoka Graduation

QCTV will be on location at Anoka High School's graduation on Wednesday, June 8. We will have a multi-angle multi-camera setup that will record every moment of the commencement program. The commencements will be "webcast" live on the qctv website at http://www.qctv.org/grad . By the following day, the video footage will be available to stream on-demand on the same page, and running on channel 15 shortly after.

High quality DVDs may be purchased through an order form available on the QCTV website as well.
